Objective: Learners in this class will be introduced to a very basic repertoire of words and simple phrases related to personal details and concrete situations. Practice will focus on asking and answering questions within the topics of greetings/introductions, friends and family, and personality descriptions. The instructor will also guide the learners to explore aspects of the cultures of the Spanish-speaking world.

Practice will focus on interacting with others by sentences and series of sentences and asking a variety of follow-up questions on the topics of health, social events, history and more. The instructor will also guide the learners to explore real world videos and articles by giving them fun, level-appropriate tasks.
Objective: Learners in this class will build on skills developed during the Beginner 1-6 levels, Explorer 1, 2 and 3. Practice will focus on interacting with others by creating simple sentences and asking appropriate follow-up questions on the topics of health, life events, experiences from the past, habits, customs, repeated actions in the past, and more. The instructor will also guide the learners to explore real world videos and articles by giving them fun, level-appropriate tasks.
** This class will be held at 193 Polk Ave, Suite D, (2nd floor), Nashville, TN. Objective: Learners in this class will build on skills developed during the Beginner, Explorer beginner-level classes, and Independent Low 1 (approximately 234 contact hours). Practice will focus on interacting with others by using connected sentences that may combine to form paragraphs and asking a variety of questions, often across various time frames on the topics of cooking, visiting others, cinema and more. The instructor will also guide the learners to explore real world videos and articles by giving them fun, level-appropriate tasks.
** This class will be held at 193 Polk Ave, Suite D, (2nd floor), Nashville, TN. Objective: Learners in this class will build on skills developed during the Beginner and Explorer beginner-level, Independent Low, and Independent Mid 1 classes (approximately 306 contact hours). Practice will focus on interacting with others by using connected sentences that may combine to form paragraphs and asking a variety of questions, often across various time frames on the topics of music, mysteries, social problems, work, and more. The instructor will also guide the learners to explore real world videos and articles by giving them fun, level-appropriate tasks.
Objective: Learners in this class will build on skills developed during the Beginner and Explorer beginner-level classes (approximately 216 contact hours) and eight intermediate-level classes (approximately 144 contact hours). Practice will focus on interacting with others by using connected discourse (sentences and some paragraphs) and asking a variety of questions across various time frames. Topics will include work conditions, dream jobs, the different stages of life, what we are looking forward to and more. The instructor will also guide the learners to explore real world videos and articles by giving them fun, level-appropriate tasks.
The course is for learners at a Spanish proficiency level of CEFR B2 / ACTFL Advanced Low/Mid and above. Learners in this class can narrate and describe in the major time frames of past, present, and future in paragraph-length discourse with some control of aspect. They can appropriately handle the essential linguistic challenges presented by a complication or an unexpected turn of events and can contribute to conversations with sufficient accuracy, clarity, and precision to convey their intended message without misrepresentation or confusion. During this course, learners will gain more linguistic ease, confidence, and competence as they provide structured arguments to support their opinions and discuss more abstractly some topics related to their particular interest and special field of expertise.
