Practice will focus on travel (lodging, transportation, booking of locations using also the past tense etc.) and learners will continue to develop their ability to describe, ask for and provide basic information. The instructor will also guide the learners to explore aspects of the cultures of the culture of Italy and Italian speakers around the world.

Objective: Learners in Explorer 1 will build on what they learned in the previous classes, improving their understanding, and speaking skills, furthering their lexical and grammatical knowledge of the Italian language. Topics will cover more in-depth vocabulary for family relations among friends, neighbors, as well as topics on employment and education in Italy with emphasis on professional life. The instructor will also guide the learners to explore real world videos, vlogs and Italian social media accounts and articles by giving them fun, level-appropriate tasks.

Objective: Learners in ITA Explorer 3 will continue to build on skills developed during the Beginner 1-6 and Explorer 1 and 2 levels, furthering their speaking and comprehension skills, acquiring new vocabulary and grammatical knowledge of the Italian language. Topics will cover the media, press, radio, film and television, the internet and social media, leisure time and tourism.

This is when class confirmation/cancellation decisions are made, and your registration can make a difference.Objective: Learners in Italian Independent Low 2 will continue to expand their communicative competence by developing greater confidence and accuracy in spoken and written Italian. Building on previous coursework, learners will strengthen their ability to discuss future plans, express needs and obligations, communicate in formal and informal contexts, make predictions, and describe real-life situations using increasingly complex sentence structures. Cultural content will further enhance learners' understanding of authentic language use in Italy.

Practice will focus on interacting with others using simple sentences and questions in both the present and past. The instructor will also guide the learners to explore aspects of the cultures of the culture of Italy and Italian speakers around the world.
