Objective: Learners in this class will continue to build on what they learned in Beginner 1, acquiring more vocabulary and simple phrases related to personal details and concrete situations. Practice will focus on asking and answering questions within the topics of traveling and visiting different locations, leisure, passions and activities, family and more. The instructor will also continue to guide the learners to explore aspects of the cultures of the French-speaking world.

Instructor: Hugues Chevalier Objective: Learners in this class will continue to build on what they learned in Beginner 1 and 2, increasing their knowledge in vocabulary, syntax and grammar. Practice will continue to focus on asking and answering questions and increasing learners’ level of confidence and comfort with the language. The instructor will also continue to guide the learners to explore aspects of the cultures of the French-speaking world.
Instructor: Joy Stalnaker Objective: Learners in Beginner 6 will build on what they learned in the previous classes, improving their understanding, and speaking skills, furthering their lexical and grammatical knowledge of the French language. Topics will cover lodgment and real estate, furniture, architecture in France, talking about memories, and added content about the culture of France in general.

Instructor: Hugues Chevalier Objective: Learners in Explorer 1 will build on what they learned in the previous classes, improving their understanding, and speaking skills, furthering their lexical and grammatical knowledge of the French language. Topics will cover relations, romance, friends, neighbors, education in France, professional life and looking for employment and added content about French culture

Instructor: Hugues Chevalier Objective: This course is for learners at a French proficiency level of CEFR B1/ ACTFL Intermediate High and above. Learners will increase their intercultural competence, expand their vocabulary, and become more comfortable engaging effectively in a variety of conversations in French. Preparation outside of class and active participation in class are required to succeed.
