Arabic Beginner 1 In-Person @ Polk Ave (Wed., 5:30-7:30pm)

** This class will be held at 193 Polk Ave, Suite D, (2nd floor), Nashville, TN.

While we accept registrations up to week two for a confirmed class, please enroll by September 23. This is when class confirmation/cancellation decisions are made, and your registration can make a difference.

Objective: Learners in this class will be introduced to the Arabic alphabet and sound systems (Modern Standard Arabic & Levant dialect). They will engage in simple conversations in which they use appropriate greetings, general expressions and shorts phrases. They will also demonstrate their understanding of basic geography and culture of the Middle East.

Objective: Learners in this class will build on skills developed during Beginner 1 with the Arabic alphabet and sound systems (Modern Standard Arabic) and how to engage in simple conversation. They will demonstrate their understanding of spoken and written descriptions of people, places and events and follow simple spoken commands/instructions.
