This one of a kind virtual 5-week course was developed to fill a gap left by other training programs by focusing exclusively on the skills needed to effectively interpret in the simultaneous mode. Students will learn theory, techniques and skills, and solidify them through practical exercises and one-on-one coaching from the trainer. 

Professional interpreters across the country are expected to possess simultaneous interpretation skills and be able to flawlessly jump into this mode whenever and wherever necessary, whether it be at a clinic, in a school meeting or during a court hearing. 

Additionally, there is a high demand across the country for interpreters who can perform in this mode for conferences and events. Despite this critically needed skill, most interpreter trainings spend little time exploring this mode and offer little by way of theory and practice to support interpreters to develop the skills needed for professional simultaneous interpretation. 

At the completion of this course, participants will be prepared to confidently accept assignments involving simultaneous interpretation and be well positioned to continue to independently practice and improve this skill.
