This comprehensive program provides training for individuals wishing to become medical interpreters, as well as preparation for taking the national certification examinations.

The program lasts one semester and includes 66 hours of classroom time and simulated practice. In addition, the program includes a combined total of 4 hours of observation of experienced medical interpreters throughout the state of Tennessee via video or in‐person depending on availability.
