This class is designed for current interpreters who want to improve their note-taking skills. Participants will explore note-taking methodology as it has been described by Jean Francois Rozan and Andrew Gillies, and engage in practical exercises to help them solidify their knowledge. Finally, participants will learn some techniques for continuing to practice their note-taking skills on their own.

Genna Linton, CMI-Spanish
Genna Linton is a Certified Medical Interpreter (Spanish) by the National Board of Certification for Medical Interpreters (NBCMI) and a Certified Medical Screener for the Red Cross. She is currently a project manager for interpretation services at the Tennessee Language Center and has plenty of experience interpreting in medical and educational settings. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Spanish and Geography and is a graduate of the Medical Interpreter Training Course provided by the Tennessee Language Center and Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
