Required textbook and how to rent or buy it

The steps below will give you access to rent for 120 days the eBook version of the workbook required for the Arabic for Educators class at the TLC: Jusuur 1 Arabic Alphabet Workbook (eText ISBN 9781647122591) for $12.48. However, if you would like to purchase the paperback version of the workbook (ISBN 9781647120221), you can buy it directly from the publisher at this website for $24.95.  Having the paperback version will allow you to avoid using VitalSource as well as allow you to write directly in the workbook.  If you plan to purchase the paperback edition, you should order it as soon as you enroll so that it will make it to you before the start of class. 

To rent the eBook, 

1. Go to VitalSource website: https://www.vitalsource.com/  
2. Click on “Sign In” in the upper right-hand corner and then on Create an Account. 
3. Fill out the form with your information. 

IMPORTANT: note that if you rent the textbook, you will need to keep track of your VitalSource log-in information (email and password) as you will access the eBook through the VitalSource website and then access the course material through Matrix, TLC’s Learning Management System and where you went to enroll in the class. 

1. Once you are logged in, search for Jusuur 1 Arabic Alphabet Workbook. 
2. Click on this tile and select the timeframe for which you would like to rent the book.  We recommend 120 days. 
3. Check out and make the payment. 
4. Once your order has been processed, you will receive a confirmation email, and you can start accessing the workbook.
